Sudbury's climate can be summed up as typical continental where
winters are cold and snowy and summers are hot. Sudbury's northern
latitude results in few summer days being very humid and our winter
season has plenty of snow from December to March. Spring and fall are
generally shorter seasons with mild daytime temperatures and cool
nights. |

Sudbury is the hub of north-eastern Ontario and hence is easily
accessible by air, train and bus service.
Greater Sudbury Airport is one of Northern Ontario's busiest and is
currently served by
Air Canada Jazz and
Bearskin Airlines. Six daily flights to Toronto by Air Canada Jazz
provide North American and overseas connections. Regular scheduled
flights provided by Bearskin Airlines offer air service to other major
centres such as Ottawa, Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay.
Train service is provided by
VIA Canada. There are two stations in Sudbury. The
downtown station provides every other day service to White River ON.
and points in between. The
Sudbury Junction station provides every other day service to Toronto
and on alternate days west to Vancouver.
Bus service is provided by
Greyhound and
Northland bus services. Both provide daily services to all major
centres. |
